SINCE 1984
Inspired by the philosophy of legendary Dutch coach Wiel Coerver, Coerver® Coaching was founded in 1984 by Alf Galustian and former Chelsea great, Charlie Cooke.
Since 1984 Coerver® Coaching has been at the centre of the evolution of skilful, modern football and is now a recognised leader in youth football education worldwide.
The Coerver® methodology is currently delivered to players, coaches and clubs in more than 50 countries across the globe at all levels of the game.
Throughout our history, Coerver® Coaching has worked with some of the world’s leading federations, clubs, coaches and players.
SOUTH AFRICA
Coerver® Coaching was opened in South Africa by father and son duo Steve and Cayl Coetsee.
Having coached at every level of football in South Africa, Steve was aware of the Coerver method and had used it as a part of technical warm ups for many years.
Cayl’s first interaction with the method was as a young player, when Steve returned from an overseas trip with the original VHS Casettte Set.
He was reintroduced to Coerver® Coaching while working at a football academy in Dubai in 2011.
The agreement was signed to expand the Coerver method in South Africa and in January 2013 Cayl returned to launch the project, with the vision, to make the World’s #1 Soccer Skills Teaching method accessible to every young player in South Africa.
